Welcome and take a look at my portfolio!

Good Design Makes a Product Useful: A product is bought to be used. It has to satisfy certain criteria, not only functional but also psychological and aesthetic. Good design emphasizes the usefulness of a product while disregarding anything that could possibly detract from it.

About

Who am I, and why Industrial Design Engineering?

Hi, so I am Mursheed, you are probably thinking ”how the heck should I pronounce that” so just call me Mush. Currently I am 27 years old and product development is my biggest interest. Product development is in my opinion one of the most important forms of communication in our society. A product that is developed properly can form bridges between people and make life easier. For those reasons a product is never finished, or perfect.

This fascinates me!

During the development process, my interest are mainly the engineering phases. Especially polymer products are a huge trigger for me. Polymers are materials that provide a lot of freedom for me to unleash my creativity and to find solutions for different problems. Besides the love for polymer products I also like to analyse their process conditions and behavior.

When I’m not designing, I spend my time on:

A lot of reading, mainly for inspiration (with reading I mean everything where product development and technical innovation are involved), am I playing with my Lego in the basement and taking my bike for a ride in the woods

My key competences are:
  • – Problem analyses to determine design strategies

  • – Material research and their applications

  • – Design for Manufacturing/CAD Engineering
